All submissions will be peer reviewed by an international panel of scholars and researchers. There will be the opportunity for selected papers to appear in special issues of journals and a book. Papers in previous conferences have appeared in, for example, the Electronic Journal of Communication/La Revue Electronique de Communication, AI and Society, Javnost - The Public, Journal of Computer Mediated Communication and New Media and Society. A book, Culture, Technology, Communication: Towards an Intercultural Global Village, edited by Charles Ess with Fay Sudweeks, was published by SUNY Press, New York in 2001 and includes a number of papers presented at the first CATaC conference.

Full and short papers are to be emailed to catac@it.murdoch.edu.au as an attachment in a Word document or RTF, formatted according to guidelines. 

Submissions for Panel 1 (The Multilingual Internet) are to be emailed to Susan Herring and Brenda Danet.  

Submissions for Panel 2 (Utopian Dreams vs Real-World Conditions) are to be emailed to Michel Menou.

Accepted papers will be included in the Proceedings only if at least one author presents the paper at the conference and papers are formatted according to the conference guidelines. Download the guidelines (Word document or RTF format).
