PEECS is jointly organised by Curtin University of Technology, Edith Cowan University , Murdoch University , and University of Western Australia . The aim of the symposium is to give postgraduate students in the area of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and related fields an opportunity to present their research work to a wide Western Australian audience. The objective of the symposium is to increase awareness of research activities in different departments or schools and to encourage cooperation and collaboration among the researchers and the universities. It is intended that the presence of local industry and government at the symposium will improve their appreciation of the skills and expertise of WA postgraduate students. Undergraduate and Honours students are also encouraged to attend for a first hand experience of current postgraduate research activities in the relevant areas. The symposium is also strongly supported by the relevant University departments and professional bodies including Institute of Engineers Australia and IEEE WA Section.

All postgraduate students are strongly encouraged to submit a full paper (up to 6 pages for oral presentation) or an extended abstract (up to 3 pages for poster presentation). Papers should include technical content with practical significance. The authors are also reminded that the audience may be new to the topic of the research. They should attempt to make their presentation interesting to audience with a wide range of background.

Submission of Papers

All papers should follow the IEEE conference papers format and they will be reviewed. The accepted papers will appear in the conference proceedings. All first authors must be currently enrolled postgraduate students.
